• Alternatives to Eclipse/RCP :

• • Netbeans – not as widely used as Eclipse, workbench has fewer features, Swing not as pretty as SWT
  • Python/QT – no workbench, not as good looking, not as rich in features, doesn't support plugins, not as pretty as SWT
  • Flex 3 – looks good, browser support, easier to develop, no workbench, no plugin concept
