Standard Widget Toolkit (SWT)

• SWT is the most contentious points about Eclipse in the Java community

• SWT is a thin layer on top of the native widget library e.g. Windows API, GTK, Carbon

• SWT is native and faster, prettier and leaner than Swing

• SWT and Swing can be mixed in the same application if needed
