Graphical User Interface

• Graphical user interface @ ESRF have a tendency to change at regular intervals (every 2 years ?)

• Examples are

• • Motif, SpecGUI, TkInter, PyQt, Bliss Framework, ...

• FABLE has adopted the approach to separate the GUI from the application so that the GUI can change without changing the data reduction software

• FABLE will support 2 GUIs :

• • Eclipse + Java
  • Qt + Python
